This particular butterfly's caterpillars soley eat passion vines. I planted a couple of vines to encourage butterflies to come to Claudia's yard. She loves butterflies, but hated caterpillars (?!). I told her that she couldn't have one without the other.

After a week or two, she really got into the whole butterfly/caterpillar/lifecycle thing.

I also had a bumper crop of Monarch butterflies too. They eat only milkweeds which you can grow anywhere...

my little boy loved this photo. he's all into insects and that sorta stuff.

Amazing how little time it takes mother nauture to destroy, and how long it takes man to clean up.

I haven't been able to find out what they are going to do with it all.. Sometimes they say they are going to incinerate the stuff, other times they say they are going to take it to a dump somewhere...

I can relate to the reference thing...with me it's my kids. Everything either happened before my oldest daughter was born or after.......and inbetween it is well did I have my son then??? You remember the most traumatic or even the most joyful of times the best......references always come from those times so not to forget anything.
